I attended a campaign speech by Hillary Rodham Clinton today in Old Town Alexandria. What a privilege to hear her speak! She was articulate and inspiring and all-around wonderful. I can't believe what fantastic photos I got of her. It's hard to choose only a few.

This morning my family and I attended the dedication ceremony for a new playground at the city's Lee Rec Center, the Ruthann Lodato Memorial Playground. Ruthann was a popular local music teacher who was murdered in February 2014. She taught the Music Together classes that Jon Morgan and I attended when he was little. I have been increasingly discouraged by the planning for the Presidential Inauguration. I volunteered for the campaign for months. I worked for the Democrats at the polls on Election Day.
